Overview
CONTINUUS Pharmaceuticals is a spin-out company from a multi-year collaboration between MIT and Novartis on Continuous Manufacturing, a 10-year research collaboration aimed at transforming pharmaceutical production. Combining the industrial expertise of Novartis with MIT’s scientific and technological leadership, the Center developed new technologies to replace the pharmaceutical industry’s conventional batch-based system with a continuous manufacturing process. We specialize in end-to-end Integrated Continuous Manufacturing (ICM), with the application of novel process technologies developed in-house to enable rapid production of pharmaceuticals at significantly reduced costs and better quality. Our goal is to leverage the ICM technology we developed to improve affordability and accessibility of pharmaceuticals on a global scale and stop drug shortages.
