Overview
Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) has been a global leader in healthcare education since 1823. The oldest institution of higher education in the City of Boston, MCPHS has grown from a single-purpose college to a multi-disciplinary University with branch campuses in Worcester, Massachusetts, and Manchester, New Hampshire, as well as online programs. For generations, MCPHS graduates have gone on to play vital roles in all areas of the healthcare sector, from emergency rooms to boardrooms and beyond. Increasingly, they are also contributing to the life sciences, working in settings ranging from academic labs to biotechnology companies.
MCPHS offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs that span a variety of fields as well as self-paced, online prerequisite courses and labs. And the University provides professional education for individuals who have already established careers. This broad portfolio positions MCPHS to offer collaborative, interprofessional education that prepares students for the team-based models of today’s healthcare and life sciences organizations.
Deep-rooted relationships with prestigious medical and research institutions in Boston’s Longwood Medical Area, across New England, and around the globe enable students to gain the most effective clinical and non-clinical experiences available. An immersive, hands-on education led by some of the industry’s most experienced professionals positions MCPHS graduates for lasting success. And the University’s facilities—from interactive laboratory spaces with the latest equipment to its robust online-learning infrastructure—will allow MCPHS to execute its mission of preparing healthcare leaders well into the future.
