Overview

Suffolk University is a four-year private university founded in 1906. Located in the heart of Boston on Beacon Hill, the University also has campuses in Madrid, Spain. First founded as a Law School, the University’s College of Arts and Sciences and Sawyer School of Management were established in 1934 and 1937, respectively. Suffolk uniquely blends its big city campus and small college atmosphere, enabling students to enjoy the dual benefits of access to New England’s leading business, government, legal, medical, and nonprofit institutions, with small classes geared to students as individuals. The University’s world class faculty inspires academic excellence in a community rich in cultural diversity, maintaining a challenging yet supportive environment for its students. Diverse program offerings include many linked to Massachusetts biotechnology industry. The College of Arts and Sciences offers programs in biology, biochemistry, chemistry as well as environmental science. A masters in health administration is offered through the Sawyer School of Management. The Health and Biomedical Law Concentration offered by Suffolk University Law School was the first program of its kind in Massachusetts.
