Cambridge Scientific Labs will award one underrepresented scientist with a bench in our shared lab including all amenities for a year. The prize is named after the 19th-century abolitionist and civil rights advocate, Charles Sumner, who fought tirelessly to promote racial equality. Sumner introduced the Civil Rights Act of 1875, which said everyone, no matter their race, should be treated fairly in public places. Underrepresented companies often face unique challenges when it comes to accessing funding, building networks, and establishing themselves in their respective industries. Cambridge Scientific Labs sets the model for others to follow in life science research. Contact us to learn how to apply!
