Accelerated Cure Project for MS (ACP) is a Waltham, MA-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to accelerate research efforts to improve diagnosis, to optimize treatment and to cure MS.

ACP believes that research is the only way to greatly improve the outlook for people with MS. The organization promotes scientific collaboration and accelerates research by rapidly and cost-effectively providing researchers with data and biospecimens they need to explore novel research ideas that can lead to better diagnoses, to new treatments and to cures for people with MS.

ALS-Therapy Development Foundation is a nonprofit biotechnology company that exists to find therapies to slow, arrest and cure ALS for patients living with the disease today. We aggressively seek out effective therapies for ALS using the potential benefit to patients' lives, rather than the potential profit, as it compass. Our approach to developing drugs for ALS has been built by studying and integrating the effective elements of rigorous and open-minded research and market-driven drug development techniques. We accomplish this by collecting, organizing and studying scientific knowledge applicable to ALS. Our disease modeling efforts focus on integrating expertise across multiple fields including neurology, immunology, genetics, pharmacology and drug development. We test these drugs in the ALS-TDF/HOPE Drug Discovery Center, the largest centralized resource for ALS animal testing. Once drugs demonstrate efficacy in the animal model, we partner with research institutions, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and other for profit and nonprofit organizations to find the best and fastest way to bring these compounds into clinical development.

The mission of the CMT Research Foundation is to deliver treatments and cures for CMT during our lifetime. Founded by two patients who are driven to expedite drug delivery to people who live with CMT globally, the organization supports research focused on the discovery and development of therapeutics. The CMT Research Foundation pursues this goal by identifying and bridging gaps in biomedical research, with a focus on areas that are most likely to result in treatments. We are most focused on translational research, but also fund discovery phase research with a clear link to speeding progress toward treatments and cures. The CMT Research Foundation accepts proposals that address four key scientific barriers to drug development: delivering therapies to the peripheral nervous system, advancing genetic medicine, promoting nerve health, and de-risking clinical trials.

The Cure AP-4 non-profit organization was founded in 2016 by families of two of the known SPG47 patients. It was originally founded as Cure SPG47, but the mission has since expanded to include all four AP-4 related disorders due to shared natural history, goals and patient/family needs. The purpose of this organization is to study and seek a cure for all AP-4 HSP disorders. We aim to improve the quality of life for children impacted by AP-4 HSP by accelerating the research for cures and treatments and providing support for patient therapies critical to their well-being and rehabilitation.
