Overview
Since 2001, the MassBioEd Foundation has been dedicated to engaging high school teachers, inspiring students and guiding the life sciences workforce. A 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization, MassBioEd collaborates with educators, industry, and public agencies to deliver programs that encourage students to consider further study and careers in the life sciences. MassBioEd’s flagship program, BioTeach, provides Massachusetts high school teachers with lab equipment and life sciences curricula combined with intensive professional development and on-site mentoring.
MassBioEd also develops detailed analysis on job trends in the industry to illuminate the pathway from the classroom to careers in the life sciences. MassBioEd's goal is to provide an understanding of the industry’s workforce needs and the skills required to fill available jobs. MassBioEd serves as a guide to educators, the training community, and the industry, so that Massachusetts can meet the workforce needs of the future.
