About Susan

Susan Martin joined the MassBio team in 2011. She brings over 16 years of legislative experience working for Members of the Massachusetts State Legislature to her role as Senior Director of Government Affairs.

In her current role, Susan serves as the primary point of contact within MassBio for all things related to federal and state policy and advocacy. She works with member company policy professionals, patient advocacy groups, state and federal elected officials, and their staff to keep them abreast of current and pending, federal and state, policy initiatives that are of interest to the life sciences industry. Susan collaborates closely with senior management, staff, external partners, and outside consultants to develop policy positions, statements, and testimony.

Prior to joining MassBio, Susan worked for members of both the Massachusetts House of Representatives and Senate as well as the Senate Committee on Ways and Means. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Curry College and is a graduate of Boston Latin School.
